As a native New Yorker, Boris knows that a man means business when he walks into a room with a sharp look and tight fade. Boris learned the craft directly from his father, picking up his first set of scissors at the age of 14. He’s since honed his craft through gritty hard work and dedication, having most recently been the owner of his own shop before coming to Trim & Proper. Boris loves that barbering provides the opportunity to form relationships with people and earn a passport into their lives. When he’s not delivering NYC’s tightest fades, Boris loves spending time with his wife and baby daughter in Queens - or listening to house music.

As a young man in San Francisco, Kevin’s first foray into barbering came through cutting his own hair. He eventually doubled down on that passion by moving to NYC and formally enrolling at the Tribeca Barber and Beauty School. He loves to engage with his customers, learn about their lives, and then make them walk out looking and feeling their best. Kevin is skilled across the full styling spectrum, capable of delivering top-quality scissor cuts, fades, tapers and combovers. Outside of Trim & Proper, Kevin loves to read history, play guitar, learn Spanish and snowboard. He is also a proud man of faith who dedicates a significant amount of time to divinity studies and his church.
